BEING DIFFERENT WHEN IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO
The Christmas holiday is here, as of this Sunday, December 25. True Christians do not observe this holiday, since it has its roots not in the Scriptures but in ancient pagan customs and false religious worship. A Christian must "come out and be separate" and not touch what is unclean (2 Corinthians:6:17). Not keeping Christmas sets us apart as very different from the rest of the world.
Different but right: There are so many ways a Christian must come out of the world and be different, such as keeping the Sabbath instead of Sunday, observing the biblical Holy Days instead of the world's holidays, not eating the unclean meats, just to name a few. Down through history God's people have always been willing to be different in order to do what is right. Today we must not be afraid to be different, when being different is the right thing to do.
