WILL 2012 BE A BETTER YEAR?
Goodbye 2011, hello 2012. Some have commented they're glad 2011 is gone, because it's not been an easy year. But will 2012 be any better? It would be nice to have less destructive storms, less global geo-political upheaval, less economic turmoil, and it is possible that 2012 will offer some reprieve. Yet it is also possible that conditions will deteriorate as we edge closer to great tribulation, a time "such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be" (Matthew:24:21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.). In 2012 we must continue to watch world events in the light of Bible prophecy.
Our game plan: Regardless of how events materialize in 2012 and beyond, our game plan remains the same, as summed up on our UCG Church seal, "Preaching the Gospel, Preparing a People." This has been the unchanging mission of the Church for almost 2000 years. We must go on forward being busy about our Father's Work, both collectively and individually. It is our privilege to proclaim good news to a troubled world, as we prepare to assist Christ in actually changing the world at His second coming.
